I usually don’t write restaurant reviews often as I am not a great foodie hence all good restaurants often go unnoticed by me. Penang is famous for its food but that didn’t grab my attention because of obvious reason. While travelling,I have a standard set of expectation for food, as long as that is met, I really don’t venture out much on food side.
When I was staying in Batu Ferringhi, after a night market stroll, I ended up at the entrance of Ferringhi Garden restaurant. It was my drink and dinner time, so decided to wrap up my night at this restaurant. When I entered the restaurant, ambiance was very appealing and arrangements inside restaurant was very promising about the food and decided to settle for the night here.
Ferringhi Garden Restaurant , Batu Ferringhi – Restaurant review
Like name says the whole restaurant is garden. They have plenty of different species of plants and floral plants are quite an exotic view for your eyes. These plants are maintained very well and adds up major portion of theme deco of entire restaurant. There is also a small waterfall which is a great add-on to the garden theme. Oil lit up lamps on tables is perfect mood setter for romantic dates.
Now let me speak about the main part -FOOD!
It’s a mixed menu, though the board reads Malaysian food, you have multiple choice of cuisines and seafood is their forte. Cleanliness reeks from all corner of the restaurant and the meticulously arranged cutleries on the table just enhances your appetite. Food is awesomely delicious.
I ordered mushroom soup and prawns followed with fried rice, I still feel the creamy texture of the Mushroom soup in my mouth, even at thought of it. Foods are served in a well-chosen plates and bowls which simply takes the whole eating experience to a different level. Staffs are very attentive and pleasantly behaved, they even have different uniforms every day. I observed this as I ended up going there 3 nights.
Entire restaurant is evenly balanced with luxury and good food and prices are also evenly balanced for what they offer.
Do I recommend?
Hell Yes ! . I ended up going there 3 nights, that explains a lot.
If you are in penang and looking for a good restaurant for fine dining then choose Ferringhi Garden, you wouldn’t be disappointed.
My rating- 5/5
